Tool Required
- Wire cutters
- Utility Knife
- Needle nose pliers
- Marker
- Pliers or adjustable wrench
- 1/4” or smaller flat-blade screwdriver
- Large slotted screwdriver
- Wire stripper (for VPL-CT)
Installation Guide
1.Cut off heating cable end at about 45° for easier insertion.
2.Push both heating cables through splice kit parts. Use cable lubricant if needed.
3. square off heating cable end at about 90°
4.Remove outer jacket for insertion.
5.Remove exposed braid and make pig tail as shown.
6.Lightly score outer jacket.
7.Cut and twist inner cable as shown.
8.Mark the jacket as shown. (15mm from end)
9.Insert into the guide tubes as shown.
10.Cut off cable end.
11.Fasten the bolt as shown.
∙Trim bus wires and braid
12.Insert splice kits both end.
13.Fasten the bolt as shown.
14.Install end. Attach seal at installed spot.
