Electric Traced ThermoTech Tube® Type ET

Introduction
ThermoTech Tube® type ET is designed to freeze protection and low-temperature maintenance for gases, liquids or other viscous materials. With outdoor temperatures of -30℃, Electric traced Thermotech Tube® Type ET will maintain a process tube or gas at 40℉(4.4℃). . Type ET can maintain process tube temperatures up to 140℉(60℃~121℃), depend upon ambient conditions. Tubing bundles are all available both single and dual type tube and possible to fabricate in various size, material, O.D upon customer’s request. CM TECH using Raychem’s heating cable product. Allowable outer temperature is -30~38℃.

- Impulse lines :    to flow transmitters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, and pressure switches

- Sample lines :    On-line analyzers

- Process lines :    for steam supply, condensate collection, water purge, chemical feed, and air(vapor) line

TUBE SPECIFICATION.

CM TECH’s standard tubing materials are 304/304L semi-seamless and 316/316L seamless stainless steel, type 1220 copper tube. In case of using other materials, available upon requested. Regarding Selection of Process tube and Steam tube material, CM TECH recommended that using same tube material for bundle. This prevent from twisting bundle tube by heat expansion. CM TECH recommended using same tube materials for bundle.


Common Tube Materials and Sizes
Basically, CM TECH’s standard tubing sizes are 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4”. The most widely used material is 304/304L ASTM A269, and Copper type #122 DHP seamless ASTM B68 also available. In case of using other material, CM TECH can supply those materials within ASTM STANDARD. (See Technical Specification Chart.)

Insulation
CM TECH using Non-hygroscopic glassfiber insulation and Aerogel for tubing buldles. Specially using Aerogel insulation for high temperature process over 400℃. For more specific insulaton specification, see 3. Insulation/jacket specification section.




Outer FR-PVC jacket
Frame-resistant PVC(FR-PVC) Jacket protects the tubing against corrosive atmospheres, water, oils, acids, alkalies and most chemicals. Min./Max. allowable exposure temperature is -50~102℃, allowable surface temperature is 82℃.

Testing
Every CM TECH’s tubing products are pressure tested before shipment. If required, 3rd party test or inspection is also possible and which include DNV, ABS & LLOYD’S REGISTER standard. For more information, ask factory’s Q/A manager. (Reference : CM-B-301 Inspection and test plan)




NOTE
It is necessary to seal the ends that prevent from contamination by moisture and(or) corrosive liquids. CM TECH supplies Sealing tools for end works. For more information, See the accessories pages.
